Our Founders
Matt, the CEO and President, served in the Marine Corps infantry as a 0311 rifleman, deploying to Iraq, the Baltics, and Asia before becoming a police officer in Chicago. After seven years in law enforcement, Matt left his police career to start Two Grunts Inc. with his brother, Andrew. During this time, he completed a local journeyman machinist program, focusing on precision machining best practices, engineering and design, and metallurgical studies. He currently resides in southwest Michigan with his wife, kids, and dog.
Andrew, the Co-Founder of Two Grunts Inc., also served in the Marine Corps infantry as a 0311 rifleman from 2013 to 2017 with 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines. After completing his service, he used the GI Bill to earn a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a focus on Global Business from USC. He currently lives out of state from Matt and Two Grunts Inc., but remains actively involved in product development and helping grow TGI, while also pursuing his career in carpentry and web design.
